Welcome to Practice One, Bridlington
From 1 April 2022 Bridlington based Practice Drs Reddy & Nunn will take over the day to day running of Practice One to ensure there are enough doctors available to see and treat patients and guarantee the continuation of all services.
Current telephone lines and online systems remain in place so please continue to contact the Practice in your usual way.
Drs Kumar and Lavery will continue to see patients at the Practice, along with the rest of the team.
We have appointed a new GP who will be joining Practice One in June.
All services at both Practices will remain as normal and Doctors will continue to treat and see patients as they do now to ensure continuity of care.
Patients do not need to worry and if anyone would like further information a set of frequently asked questions is available on the link below:

The Medical Centre has been developed by the Practice jointly with the other 2 practices that occupy the building, so that we may provide the highest standard of facilities to our patients and employees.
The Medical Centre is easily accessible for those with disabilities as all our patient services are sited on the ground floor, corridors are wide enough for manual wheelchairs and there is the provision of a disabled toilet at the front of the building, accessed using a Radar key.
If you have any communication needs (e.g. sight or hearing difficulties) please let the Practice know when registering.
Consent form to release information to a third party
Please note that, due to the new GDPR regulations, we now require your written consent to discuss any information or give out prescriptions, sick notes etc. to a third party. Please ask at reception for a consent form.
SMS Text Messaging
The Practice is introducing the use of text messaging as another form of communication.
SMS Text messaging is now a well-used method of communication, and the practice feels that embracing this method will enhance the service we offer to our patients by engaging with them in a more efficient and accessible way. Our aim is to benefit both the practice and patients in delivering our services more effectively.
This will allow the practice to send out information such as appointment reminders, recalls in relation to health reviews, flu campaigns, pathology results and more.
If you would like to be included in the process then please either click the link below to read our conditions and download our consent form or call into the Surgery and speak to one of our Reception Team

Opening Times and Accessibility
The Centre is normally open between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays. Please Note: The Centre opening times are not necessarily the same as the surgery opening times.
Parking at the Medical Centre is limited, we recommend that you allow plenty of time prior to your appointment to find a parking space.
We are committed to providing a professional service. Our surgery is equipped and staffed to provide the full range of health care during the day up to 5.00 pm. We are not always able to provide a chaperone after this time which limits some examinations and procedures. In addition to this, we provide a number of specialised services at particular times. The receptionist will help you make an appointment.
Named Accountable GP
The Practice is required by the Government under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP, therefore individual patients will be informed of their named accountable GP.
- All current and new patients registered with this Practice will be allocated a named GP
- Your accountable GP is responsible for your overall care at the Practice, however you are welcome to see any GP within the Practice
- If you would like to know the name of your accountable GP, please ask at the reception desk
Having a named GP does not prevent you seeing any other Doctor in the Practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discus them with an alternative Doctor.
Friends and Family Test: Have your say to improve your care

BRIDLINGTON FREE PRESS REPORT
We have introduced an on line Repeat Prescribing Request system which is now operational.
The system is linked to Systmone, the Practice's clinical system, so when you log in it will automatically show a list of all your current repeat medications. You will be able to order them 5 days before they are due and this is indicated by a small box appearing next to the drug name, which you tick if you require. The prescription will be ready for collection within the usual timescales.
Could we remind patients only to order the medication that you need as there is currently a national campaign to help reduce waste drugs.
If you wish to use this system, you will need to call into the surgery and ask to be registered for Systmone On line prescribing and the receptionist will issue you with a user name and temporary password, which can be changed when you are in the system.
This is an easy and simple way to order your repeat medication and can be ordered anytime you remember that your medication is due.
We have recently introduced an on-line appointment booking system, please click on the icon below to make your appointment.
Once you have received your user name and password, click on the icon above and it will take you directly to the log in page.
You can also download the NHS App for your smartphone (see link below). This app is free of charge and is a convenient way to order your medication, book appointments and access your medical record.
For appointments and prescriptions please use the Online Services link above. Alternatively, just click here.
